In september zijn we gestart met de bouw van een nieuwe silo in Fontenoy. Deze silo van 80.000 ton zal ons op deze site een maximale hoeveelheid suiker van 126.000 ton laten opslaan. Als alles volgens plan verloopt, is het binnen een jaar klaar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investeren voor morgen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Rekening houdend met ons doel om tegen 2030 klimaatneutraal te worden, zal deze nieuwe silo ons direct helpen onze uitstoot te verminderen. Frasnes ligt inderdaad 25 km van Fontenoy en produceert geen suiker meer. Alles wat deze site verlaat, moet er eerst per vrachtwagen naartoe worden gebracht. Wanneer onze nieuwe silo actief zal zijn, zullen we onze transporten tussen de twee iscal-sites verminderen en daarom veel minder brandstof verbruiken dan we nu doen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maar ook voor vandaag<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Samen met onze site in Frasnes die een stock- en transformatiesite is, beschikken we momenteel over een capaciteit van 94.000 ton. Bijna een verdubbeling hiervan zal ons helpen om onze voorraad dagelijks te verwerken op de site waar we onze suiker produceren. Dit betekent minder verkeer op onze Fontenoy-site, altijd welkom op het vlak van veiligheid, en een betere flexibiliteit bij piekproductie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
