Health is primordial for Iscal; the health of our employees, of course, but also that of the consumers of the sugar we produce.

Information and transparency

Although most of our sugar production is supplied to Belgium and neighbouring countries, much of it is then integrated into our clients’ products and shipped to the other end of the world.

Luckily, Europe imposes very strict regulations on the ingredients used for foodstuffs. Thus, each consumer can stay informed of what they eat and decide freely whether what they are about to eat is good for them.

Excess is always harmful

With sugar, as it is with all other foodstuffs, eating too much of the same food will have a negative impact on health. Sugar is at the very top of the pyramid, meaning the need and tolerance for sugar is the lowest. Therefore, eating too much sugar can have a long-term detrimental impact on the consumer.
