On 1 January 2026, Steven De Cuyper officially took up his position as the new CEO of iscal, thus opening a new chapter in the history of our sugar factory.

Solid experience in the food industry

An agricultural engineer by training, Steven De Cuyper has extensive experience in the agri-food sector. He has held senior positions at Agristo NV, a major player in the food industry, where he developed recognised expertise in industrial performance, team management and sustainable development.

Alongside his professional career, Steven is heavily involved in the structuring and future of the Belgian agricultural and food sector, currently serving as chairman of Vegaplan.

A clearly stated ambition

For three months, Steven took the time to learn about iscal’s teams, business lines, strengths and challenges. This phase of listening and analysis ensured a smooth and seamless transition, with ongoing projects continuing without interruption.

His ambition is clear: to make our sugar factory a European model for sustainable transition in the agri-food industry, drawing on our high-performance industrial facilities, our strong local roots and the daily commitment of our employees.
